Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is a serious violation of academic integrity and ethical conduct in publishing. At Educaniora, we uphold the highest standards of originality and intellectual honesty in all submitted manuscripts, including research articles, review articles, and case studies. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and does not infringe on the rights of others.
Authors' Responsibilities:
-
Original Work: Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been previously published or are under consideration elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and appropriate credit must be given to the original authors of any referenced works.
-
Proper Citation: Authors must meticulously cite all sources used in their research. This includes text, data, images, and ideas that are not their own. Proper citation practices are essential to acknowledge the contributions of others and avoid plagiarism.
-
Plagiarism Check: Before submission, authors should use plagiarism detection software to verify the originality of their work. The amount of plagiarized content must not exceed 20%. This includes direct quotations and closely paraphrased material.
Use of Turnitin:
At Educaniora, we use Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection tool, to screen all submitted manuscripts. Turnitin compares the content of the manuscript against a vast database of academic papers, articles, and other sources to identify any similarities and potential instances of plagiarism.
Journal's Actions in Case of Plagiarism:
-
Pre-Publication Detection: All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. If significant plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript will be immediately rejected.
-
Post-Publication Detection: If plagiarism is detected after publication, Educaniora reserves the right to issue a correction, retraction, or other appropriate statements. The published paper will be marked accordingly to inform readers of the breach of ethical standards.
-
Consequences for Authors: Authors found to have committed plagiarism may face disciplinary action from their institutions and may be banned from publishing in Educaniora in the future. This measure ensures the integrity and credibility of the journal.
Commitment to Ethical Standards:
By submitting a manuscript to Educaniora, authors agree to comply with our plagiarism policy. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record and expect authors to adhere to the highest ethical standards in their research and writing.
Educaniora takes plagiarism very seriously and will take all necessary steps to prevent and address any instances of plagiarism in the manuscripts we receive.
